Assault Weapons Ban-2013 Edition

Those smart and well-informed politicians up in Washington are still at it. Leading the "assault" by chipping away at the Second Amendment with a new AWB is Diane Feinstein a.k.a. DiFi, as she is less affectionately referred to in many of the pro-gun blogs out there. Full text of this proposed crap legislation can be found on the Senator's page.

It amazes me how uninformed these lawmakers are and whether they actually listen to their constituents or just have a personal agenda. Their researchers probably don't even own guns and even worse probably "Bing" searches to dig up data. For example, I own a bolt action 300 WinMag that has a threaded barrel, detachable magazine, and a $900 Accuracy International stock that just happens to have a thumbhole grip. Under this proposed legislation it's now an assault weapon. Are you freaking kidding me?!  It's a bolt-action rifle! I guess they couldn't figure out what the hell to do with all the one-off, so ban 'em all. Bunch of tools.

Assault Weapon according to DiFi
