Rifle Sight-in Process by NSSF

The National Shooting Sport Foundation has lots of great video about shooting techniques and instruction. Keeping with excellent instruction is one about sighting in a rifle that most of us can do easily even as a noob shooter.

I've used this same technique sighting in my many bolt-action and semi-auto rifles. I do like the fact it shows bore sighting by literally looking down the bore of the rifle. It gets you on paper with no expensive tools or laser beams needed. Just a good set of eyes.

  1. Key features to consider when considering a laser bore sighter are adjustability, fit and visibility. Make sure you buy only the best brand and invest in quality-made products. My Dad goes for ease of use and simplicity, since he loves these things. I've been thinking of buying him something for his birthday and have been reading a lot of reviews. Here's a site that I've stumbled into that has lots of information. See: http://opticgearlab.com/scopes/best-laser-bore-sighter.html
