Ammo Price Gouging Everywhere

Are you kidding me?!
I guess some internet retailers of ammo think that it's okay to bend you over on the ammo. Granted it's been in short supply because of hoarding. These jackholes at Alamo Ammo think they are giving you a good deal. A box of Russian Tula .223 Ammo before the greatest gun buying panic ever (thanks to those gun-grabbing, ivory tower living, politicians) was less than $9 for a box of 20. Now they trying to sell it for more than three times that! Are you f'ing kidding me!! I hesitated to buy the good Hornady .223 stuff if it was more than $20 just a few months ago.

Cheaper than Dirt was just one of the first to kick off this nonsense back earlier this year when they started selling Magpul 30-rd magazines for almost $60, now they're up to about $80. Before DiFi and her misfits created the big AWB scare they were less than $20. A Boycott Cheaper than Dirt Facebook ensued and had more than 17,000 likes. I just hope that yahoos are not dumb enough to buy this overpriced crap. If they do they are just creating the demand that will keep the prices high for a long time. Just like an elephant, I don't forget.

National Firearms Act of 1934

The National Firearms Act (NFA) of 1934 requires certain firearms to be registered with the Secretary of the Treasury, more specifically, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE). According to the Bureau, the following must be registered:

Remington 870 All Kitted Up

Lipstick on a pig
Every good gun collection should have at least one shotgun in it. Why not an 870? The Remington 870 is one of the most common pump-action shotguns out there with no end of accessories, add-ons, and upgrades. You can find a version of your liking a lot easier than finding ammo for your AR-15 these days. Versions vary from traditional wood furniture to camo'd up duck slayers. I picked this one up more than a year ago and began to kit it up.

Senator DiFi Wants to 'Dry up the Supply'

The LA Times published an article about the recent introduction of the 2013 version of the AWB by DiFi (Senator Feinstein) and crew. She wants to "dry up the supply of these weapons over time." These weapons she speaks of are those black scary ARs that many of us own legally and that she refers to as assault weapons. Well that's great and all but these tools should realize that when they started talking about an new AWB more than a month ago, they increased the demand of these modern sporting rifles and at least doubled their value. They helped move these guns off the shelf of the dealers and into the hands of more Americans (a good thing in my opinion). I'm sure that's not the effect they were looking to achieve. They helped spur a rifle and ammo buying frenzy that has been really unsurpassed in recent times. Way to go dummies.

Hopefully there are enough vocal constituents and pro-gun lobbyists out there that will help kill this bill before it's even close to seeing the light of day. Then, maybe, I can finally get my hands on some ammo and those jackasses can focus on more pressing issues.

Assault Weapons Ban-2013 Edition

Those smart and well-informed politicians up in Washington are still at it. Leading the "assault" by chipping away at the Second Amendment with a new AWB is Diane Feinstein a.k.a. DiFi, as she is less affectionately referred to in many of the pro-gun blogs out there. Full text of this proposed crap legislation can be found on the Senator's page.
